Meet and greet other like-minded singers who are connected by an appetite for hard rock and heavy metal! All voices are welcome in this class. Some singing experience is helpful, but not required.
There are no audition requirements for Metal Singing Class, knowing how to read sheet music is not necessary, and ALL VOICES are welcome (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass), and we will even help you map your vocal range!

Participants will:
– discover and map their vocal ranges
– learn a warm-up for good vocal health
– work on their vocal chops through melody and harmony practice
– learn 2-3 hard rock, heavy metal, and/or punk by the end of the session
– practice introductory unclean vocals (screams and growls to start)
– previous metal choir sessions have including music from local artists (Devin Townsend, Spiritbox, Unleash the Archers) as well as internationally acclaimed artists (Metallica, Nightwish, System of a Down)

Kelsey Luo is a passionate modern rock/metal musician, music instructor and session vocalist, with a unique skill set of extreme vocals (metal screams). She is passionate about seeing the growth within her students from when they start their first lesson, to the progress they make throughout their music journey. She works with beginner to advanced students of any age.
She can teach in both English and Mandarin.
