Brass Ensemble

Pleasant Mountain Music is proud to present our first ever Brass Ensemble group class! Participants across the brass instrument family (Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn, Euphonium, Baritone) will enjoy some fantastic musicianship and group music making by joining this welcoming ensemble. You should have some previous playing experience, including a basic understanding of notation reading. But rest assured this class will bring you up to speed on your reading skills, embouchure endurance, tap into your music appreciation, and make the whole process fun.

Class will include:
– Healthy practice habits
– Foundational technique
– Warm-Ups and chorales

Spring repertoire includes:
– When the Saints go Marching in
– Trumpet Voluntary (Jeremiah Clarke)
– Havana (Camila Cabello)
– Thunderstruck (AC/DC)

Participants should bring their own instrument. Sheet music will be provided. In-class performance will take place in June.

Class is led by PMM co-owner and senior brass instructor Sarah, who will guide participants on how to get the most out of not just their instrument, but also their ensemble/group class experience.

Teacher Sarah is a multi-instrumentalist, who began her musical journey on piano and trumpet at age of 11. Students of any age looking for their very first exposure to one-on-one music lessons are welcome to start out with Sarah. Sarah is a great lover of music, and hopes to instill a sense of commitment to and enjoyment during lessons as well as encourage self-expression in her students.
