Hugo Ornelas is a passionate musician and educator who has been active in the music industry since 2013, touring, recording, and teaching. With a deep love for the six strings, he inspires and encourages others to find their unique artistic voice and self-expression.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Popular Music Performance from Fermatta Music Academy in Mexico and is pursuing a Game Audio Professional Certificate at Berklee Online. In addition to his work as a session musician, Hugo is developing his personal project, Omen Bliss, where he blends his diverse musical influences.
Inspired by legendary guitarists such as Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, John Frusciante, Omar Rodríguez-López, John Scofield, and Geordie Greep, Hugo’s playing reflects a wide range of genres, including Rock, Punk, Funk, Prog, Metal, Jazz, Pop, and Blues.
As an instructor, Hugo teaches electric and acoustic guitar, as well as bass guitar and ukulele, from beginner to intermediate level. His lessons cover styles such as Jazz, Funk, Rock, Hard Rock, Art Rock, Heavy Metal, Punk, and World Music, helping students develop technical skills, musicality, and creative expression.
