About Richard

Richard is a Vancouver-based musician and educator with over a decade of experience
across a wide range of musical genres. He began his classical training at age 5 on the cello
and went on to pursue music studies at the University of Victoria. He is a singer and multi-
instrumentalist that can play guitar, bass, drums and the piano.

Richard teaches voice and guitar.

His teaching blends technical precision with the style and groove of Pop, R&B, and other contemporary genres. Richard’s goal is to help singers and players alike discover their unique sound and confidence.

He has also directed a community choir, guided emerging artists in both private and group
settings and performed on stages that have ranged from cozy coffee shops to major local
venues.

Richard’s lessons focus on empowering students to find the joy in music through connection, creativity and personal growth.
